Leona Lewis has reportedly been asked to sing at the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games in China this summer.
Lewis, who is now a global star, is rumoured to be making an appearance alongside footballer, David Beckham.
The former 'X-Factor' winner will apparently sing to a global audience of 150 million people, and it is hoped her appearance with Beckham will raise the profile of the London Olympics in 2012.
A source told Yahoo: "Leona and Beckham have accepted the invitation to sprinkle some stardust on the show.
"They epitomise what London 2012 is about. Leona is a young global star from London who has risen from nothing".
Tom Waits has confirmed he will play three nights in a specially designed venue at the Phoenix Park, Dublin this July and August.
Waits will play three dates on July 30, 31, and August 1. The venue will be named the RatCellar marquee as part of his Glitter and Doom tour.
The fully-seated shows will be Waits' first Dublin dates since 1987, Tickets go on-sale this Tuesday (May 27) at 9am.

Prince pulls Irish gig
Prince has cancelled his upcoming show in Ireland, just a week in advance of the concert. Promoters for the long-awaited date at Croke Park in Dublin made the announcement today, apologising to the 50,000 plus people due to attend. Links to downloads of ' I Wanna Live A Dream (In My Record Machine)', 'They Got Nothin' On Me (They Got Nothin' On You)' and 'Stop the Clocks' have appeared on messageboards, myspace sites and fansites. All three songs have been posted as video clips on Youtube. Oasis seventh studio album is due for release in September.
